Sunjay Brayne, BBC Folk awards 2012
Sunjay
is continuing in the long line of great British acoustic based blues
guitarists and can only go from strength to strength in the future. Sunjay Brayne is the latest exciting talent to emerge with his seemingly effortless mastery of
the acoustic guitar in a range of styles with developing vocals to compliment. A career in music
at some level seems within his grasp.
His first CD ‘Seems So Real’ reflects perfectly his range of influences and is a joy to listen to
with the quality of his guitar work and an easy vocal style.

Vo Fletcher and Catherine Howe
Catherine Howe is widely remembered
for the song 'Harry', for which she received in 1975 an Ivor Novello
Award, and especially for her 1971 album ‘What A Beautiful Place.’ Now,
she is joined by guitarist and songwriter Vo Fletcher (Nigel Kennedy,
Fairport Convention and chart toppers Touch & Go,) and after working
together for three years
their musical performance has reached a point of ease and cohesion not
readily acquired.
2010 saw the release of their album 'English
Tale', which features Fairport Convention's violinist Ric Sanders, and
offers new material with the inclusion of interesting reworkings of
'Harry' and 'Lucy Snowe.'
some reviews:
Like some missing link between Sandy Denny and Karen Carpenter, or Ladies of the Canyon and Dusty in Memphis.' Barney Hoskyns, Observer Music Monthly
'Fantastic modern classic.' Rough Trade Shops
'Like welcoming an old friend back home . . . Catherine Howe is one of the great unrecognised voices.' Record Collector
'At it's centre is Howe, whose chilled half swallowed, vibrato free vocals maintain sustained charming purity.' Los Angeles City Beat
'Frankly gorgeous songwriting . . .pure and beautiful . . . lovers of good quality folk music should investigate immediately.' Bookmat

Vicki Swan & Jonny Dyer have developed a strong reputation for a
delivering great performances time and time again. Once known mainly
for for their instrumental skills with Scottish smallpipes, accordion
and Swedish nyckelharpa, they are now being accepted as impressive song
arrangers and writers.
Vicki & Jonny effortlessly blend traditional material with
contemporary interpretations whilst equally creating original self
penned tunes and songs that are entirely at home in the tradition. Out
of this combination they have developed a sound that is both familiar
and fresh.
